Gluten Free Products
At Beetnik we make every effort to ensure that our Gluten Free products have fewer than 20 parts per million (ppm) of gluten, which is the World Health Organization’s standard for Gluten Free. Our Gluten Free products are manufactured in our own facility, as well as third party manufacturers.
- Vetting – Beetnik periodically tests incoming raw materials for contamination.
- Specs – Suppliers are given specific instructions on exactly what product is to be received.
- HACCP– All of our USDA monitored suppliers have Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Points processes, which outline what the risks associated with the products they supply are, and how they are addressed.
- Segregation – Items containing allergens are stored separately from each other, and labeled clearly.
- Container Reuse – Containers that have come into contact with an allergen are not used with ingredients for products that do not contain those allergens.
Staging
- When moving products in our small facility, we make sure that products don’t come into contact with other allergens.
Production
- Scheduling – We produce gluten-free product in the same kitchen as products containing gluten. Our gluten-free products are made after all flour has had a chance to settle and everything has been thoroughly cleaned. Our gluten free products are made on days when we only manufacture gluten-free products.
- Our pasta products are made by a supplier in a 100% dedicated and certified gluten-free facility
Cleaning & Sanitation
- There are different ways of cleaning equipment. The best kind of cleaning is wet cleaning, and this is how Beetnik cleans its facility and equipment.
Packaging
- Safe once packaged – Once a gluten-free product is in the packaging, we believe it should be safe.
- Punctures – Punctures of packaging could result in cross contamination. Consumers should avoid products whose outer packaging is damaged.
Quality Management
- Random testing – We randomly test our products to make sure that they fall below the specified level of gluten contamination.
Employee Training
- Our employees are trained to comply with our processes.
- All of our processes are documented.

How should I cook a specific product?
Heating instructions can be found on many of our lables, on inserts that come with the food, and on each product page of our website below the product image.
Are frozen vegetables as nutritious as fresh produce?
Frozen vegetables may be even more healthful than some of the fresh produce sold in supermarkets, says Gene Lester, Ph.D., a plant physiologist at the USDA Agricultural Research Center in Weslaco, Texas. Why? Fruits and vegetables chosen for freezing tend to be processed at their peak ripeness, a time when— as a general rule—they are most nutrient-packed.
What products are low in sodium?
We recommend reviewing all of our labels for sodium content in order to determine which products are best for you. Nutrition lables can be found below the product image on each product page.
What products are precooked?
In an effort to provide the best products to our customers, we offer a wide variety of both cooked and un-cooked products. Pease refer to the item description to find whether any individual item is procooked, partially cooked, or raw.
Does the microwave change the nutritional content of the food?
Per the Harvard Medical Journal, it’s not the heat source that affects the nutritional content of the food, but the heat and the amount of time the food is exposed to it that affects its nutritional makeup. Follow the directions as given on each product to ensure proper preparation.
What is the proper portion size?
The basic rule of thumb is that a portion size should be the same as the palm or fist of your hand, or about the size of a deck of cards. Vegetables however can be unlimited so eat as many vegetables as you want!
What is the bag made of that the product comes in?
Our bags are made of a BPA Free, poly nylon plastic ensuring there is no leaching or leaking. More excting bags to come.
What do you do if your food isn’t completely frozen when it arrives?
Our coolers are packed with just the right amount of dry ice so that the product arrives in a frozen state. Different factors can occasionally cause the food to thaw a bit; should that happen, the rule of thumb is if the food is still cold then it’s good to go and can be stored in the freezer for future use. We adhere to the food temperature danger zone.
OUR BEEF
What makes our premium beef different?
Our lean beef is very rich with nutrients such as Protein, Iron, Vitamin B12, Zinc and more! It is naturally 98% lean because the cattle are free to graze in open pastures, rather than being placed in a commercial feed lot for fattening. A 4 oz. serving has just 2 grams of total fat and 1 gram of saturated fat!
Why is Grass-fed beef better for me?
Beef SHOULD be a part of your healthy diet. The key is choosing leaner cuts of beef and knowing how the cow was raised. Grass-fed beef raised in pastures instead of feedlots contains heart healthy omega 3 fatty acids and health-promoting vitamins and minerals such as Vitamin E and beta-carotene.
