Asian Inspired Halibut en Papillote

Posted On: May 13, 2015

Both flavorful and healthy, this colorful meal will truly brighten up your day! We’ve used parchment paper before (remember the organic chicken en Papillote?) – there’s just something about cutting open the parchment paper at the table that brings extra flare to our meal.

  • 2 wild caught halibut fillets
  • chopped cilantro
  • kale, chopped into 2 inch slices
  • scallions
  • red pepper flakes
  • slices of raw, peeled ginger
  • 1 tbsp tamari sauce (or soy sauce)

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and place two squares of parchment paper on an even surface. Mix the vegetables together in a separate bowl. Add tamari sauce and toss. Add a layer of vegetables to the parchment paper. Add the halibut and more vegetables. Once ready, fold over the parchment paper and wrap the fish tightly. Brush the parchment paper with olive oil (to prevent burning) and bake for 10-15 minutes. Remove from oven and cut open the parchment paper. Garnish with lemon zest and enjoy!
