Blackened Wild Caught Salmon

Our wild-caught Alaskan salmon is back in stock and ready for your grill! Rich in omega-3s and a beautiful ruby red color, our salmon is both sustainably sourced and 100% delicious. While our salmon is perfect on its own, we decided to add some Texas heat to the mix with a blackening spice mix.

Blackening spice mix is a simple and tasty way to liven up your salmon. The mixture of each individual spice creates a taste that is absolutely bursting with heat and flavor. Double the spice mix and keep a blend in your pantry for later! It can also be used with chicken or pork.

Blackening Spice Mix

  • 2 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tsp cayenne
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground white pepper
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp dried thyme
  • 1/4 tspdried basil
  • 1/4 tsp dried oregano

Combine the ingredients for the spice mix. Brush 1/2 tsp of olive oil across the salmon fillets and season the fillets evenly with the spice mix. Place enough oil in the pan and cook at 325 F for a total of 6-8 minutes, flipping half way through cooking. The outside should be crispy and the salmon should easily flake with a fork.
