Organic Spotlight: Grass Fed Beef Bolognese with Gluten Free Pasta

A long time staple of Italian kitchens, beef bolognese sauce is one of those recipes that gets passed down from generation to generation. Spices are added and removed, with each generation adding their own special touch. With so much history and generational knowledge attributed to this tasty meat sauce, we knew we couldn’t skimp on our research.

Since we wanted to ensure that we did this traditional bolognese sauce justice, we took our time developing and researching different spice variations, tomato sizes, cooking times, etc. Keeping it simple was key – you won’t find any crazy additives or “oregano flavor” in these meals. We stuck to the basics: organic basil, organic ground black pepper, organic oregano and of course – organic garlic.

After we set the recipe for the sauce, we began to incorporate our gluten free pasta into the mixture. You may remember when we began testing our new forms of pasta back in January- well, now it’s time to shine, pasta! As soon as they come together they make the perfect duo for busy nights when you want a home-cooked meal with 100% organic ingredients!
