Organic Spotlight: Chicken Creole

If you feel like your frozen meals lack a bit of a pizazz, our Chicken Creole may be the solution to your meal time woes! Known for its unique blend of fragrant spices, creole seasonings are known to bring the heat and flavor.

Creole spice blends are usually achieved from scratch by the cook, so trials in the Test Kitchen where necessary to find a solid foundation to build upon.  Eventually, through countless tests and re-trials, we decided on the following herbs and spices: organic parsley, organic oregano, organic thyme, organic crushed red peppers, organic cayenne pepper, organic black pepper.

The rich, tangy sauce is made from an organic tomato puree, organic onions, organic bell pepper, organic tomato paste, organic celery, organic garlic, sea salt, and of course, organic olive oil. Once we added in the organic chicken, we knew we had something special.

You’ll notice that we don’t include any antibiotics or preservatives! If you’re thinking “this is too good to be true,” we have a challenge for you: can you pronounce every single word on our nutritional label? Do you recognize each ingredient as a whole, natural food? Notice the lack of  maltodextrin and sodium aluminum phosphate? (also, what IS that?!) The only preservative we use is a good ol’ fashioned freezer.
