Slow Roasted Prime Rib

Posted On: November 23, 2013

Prime Rib Roast is the king of all roasts and this recipe is a good example of low-temperature cooking, and a sure fire way to have a fantastic roast.   Four ingredients are all you need.

Preheat oven to 160 F.

Bring the roast to room temperature and generously season with salt and pepper.  Heat the oil over high temperature in an oven safe pan until shimmering, and sear the beef on all sides until nicely colored.  Turn the roast so that the bone side is down and place in the oven, uncovered, for approximately 4-5 hours or until the internal temperature reaches 125 degrees for medium rare.  Remove from the oven and let rest for at least 30 minutes before carving.  Insanely great!
