Why Choose Organic?

Less Chemicals

Avoiding chemicals present in commercially grown food has been one of the driving forces behind our love for organic food. According to Prevention, “More than 600 active chemicals are registered for agricultural use in America, to the tune of billions of pounds annually. The average application equates to about 16 pounds of chemical pesticides per person every year. Many of these chemicals were approved by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) before extensive diet testing. ”

No Hormones or Antibiotics in Your Protein 

Our 100% grass fed beef is not only organic, it’s free of any growth hormones or antibiotics. The same goes for our pasture raised chickens. Our cows eat grass, our chickens eat bugs- the way nature intended! Conventional, grain fed meat is at the highest risk foods for contamination by harmful substances. A large bulk of ingested pesticides come from meat – a whopping 90% of the pesticides Americans consume are from animal protein! That’s a lot!

Avoiding GMOs

Genetically engineered food and organisms do not have to be labeled in the United States – so it leaves a big question mark on your grocery list. If you want to avoid GMOs, choose organic. Organic food must be GMO free, so it’s the only way to ensure your food has not been modified in any way.
